Rules of thumb for a healthy puppy: 3–4 meals a day until about 12 weeks, then 3 until about 6 months; potty trips after every meal, nap, and play session; 18–20 hours of sleep a day; formal exercise around 5 minutes per month of age, up to twice daily. Your vet and your breed may adjust any of these.

Now make it happen

You have a schedule for today. Pawlo runs it.

A puppy day has thirty-odd events in it, and half of them happen while the other person in the house isn't looking. Printed, this schedule tells you what should happen. It can't tell you whether the 2 PM potty trip actually did.

On paper

  • A plan printed once, on one fridge
  • Someone has to remember the times
  • You assume it got done
  • The dog can get fed — or dosed — twice
  • Blank by Wednesday, gone by next week

In Pawlo — free

  • The same plan live on every phone in the house
  • Smart reminders at your real per-task times
  • A name and a time on every completed task
  • A warning before a second meal or med goes in
  • Care history you can look back on, per pet and per person
